Cognition & Movement

We got permission from Barb (her lovely nurse) to wake up mom again and bug her. We've been asking her to blink twice to questions and she is cognizant of what is going on, although the doctor said she won't remember between wakings. What we know: she prefers to wake to her girl's voices, she wants a pedicure, she can't move her hands or toes yet but has moved her legs, and the hospital has amazing chocolate malts.

    I dreamed about MaryAnn Saturday night. I was surprised at how she looked because of the stroke--she looked great. I said, "I thought you were in the hospital." She said, "I am. I'm just taking a break. I have to get some sleep while I can." I assumed it was because of the serious work ahead. Hope it's not too hard. There's nobody cooler than MaryAnn. Pam

    Wow, we're grateful for these tender mercies....thank you for keeping all of us in the loop. Of course she wants to wake up to the sounds and looks of those gorgeous Pollei sisters. Your faith and optimism shine forth and truly warms our souls. We are so grateful!

    David just called John with info. We didn't know anything. So grateful Mary Ann is improving. Her doc is amazing, couldn't have anyone better. Is there anything we can do in Utah?
